Trying to be productive...

The internet thing has been a problem for me too; it is very irritating. I see other kids use it for things that aren't for school and, well, I have done it a few times myself. I have pretty much gone over this topic in one of my other posts and so I thought that I night put a little twist on the prompt. I was thinking about what to write about and I thought that it might be good to write about possible solutions to the problem instead of the problen itself. The first thing that I thought about was maybe inforcing a fee for every time a person was found using the computers irresponsibly. You know, instead of just getting yelled at by Larry you would need to pay some sort of fine because you broke a rule. Maybe that is a little harsh but I think that it could be a good way of getting rid of the problem. When I was thinking about that I wondered that maybe people could pay in advance to use the computers for personal stuff. Have a sign in sheet and a per-minute fee and a little tin to put the money in. The only real problem that I can see with this is that someone who needed the computers for school things might not be able to get a computer because people would refuse to get off or because they were too afraid to ask. I don't really know if people would like this or if it is even legal but I think that it would be an easy way to make money for the school and to pay for new computers! Another thing that I thought of would be buying a monthly or semesterly pass to let you use either your own computer or the powder room computers without having to pay the fee every time. I don't know that this would really go over very well with the students at Linworth but I really like the idea. I think that if maybe people respond enough to this post I might propose this at Town Meeting. Please give me some feedback on what you think.
